Learn how to create sustainable crafts with our amazing eco arts workshop!
This creative social session aims to teach you sustainable ways of upcycling old clothes and creating cool collages and coasters out of old bits and bobs around your house and garden.
For the Tie Dye, we'll provide the t-shirts and tie dye, it's up to you what you create with them. You can decide whether to go full-blown rainbow or opt for a more chilled, pastel colour palette. Whichever look you're going for we will be on hand to guide you. Once the workshop is over, you'll be able to keep hold of your creations and wear them with pride, knowing they were made with natural ingredients!
Session Times
Session A: 1PM - 1:45PM
Session B: 2PM - 2:45PM
Session C: 3PM - 3:45PM
If it is raining on the day - we will be doing the workshops inside the Hutton Hall (located above the Student Union Office!)
What experience do I need?
Absolutely none! We'll be able to walk you through the whole process, whether you're a newbie or a total pro already.
What will I make?
You’ll be shown how to make your very own tie-dyed garment. We'll provide plain t-shirts for you to use but you're welcome to bring your own item (i.e. tote bag) if you'd rather. If you do choose to bring your own item, just ensure it's 100% cotton.
Do I need to bring anything?
We recommend you wear old clothes (or bring an apron) as the dye may be spilt. We'll provide you with gloves, as well as all the bits you'll need to make your tie-dye t-shirt.
