Rise Up

A student reading a book

Rise Up has been tailored to the experiences of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic students and will give students enrolled the opportunity to develop employment and life skills, confidence and networks.

Hertfordshire Students’ Union, the UH Careers and Employability Service, UH Widening Access and Student Success Team and the School of Life and Medical Sciences have collaborated to create a new empowerment programme for students. This programme was developed in consultation from Black, Asian and Minority Ethinic students, to ensure the content was what students would benefit from the most! The programme provides the details of all workshops and activities that you are expected to take part in. It is expected that you will engage in all sessions unless, see the dates and times further below on this webpage.

Taking part in this programme will also contribute to your Go Herts Award.

If there is any further information about the programme you would like to know, feel free to email: riseup@hertssu.com.
