Student Reps

Students on campus

Student Reps are appointed each year to represent students' academic interests.

As volunteers, Student Reps listen to their peers' feedback on academic issues and use it to drive change. As student leaders in their programmes, they amplify student voices by raising feedback to relevant staff in both the Students’ Union and University – collaborating with them to implement new ideas and propose solutions to problems. They also support School Community Organisers (SCOs) in making students’ experience at Herts the best that it can be!

Student Rep Recognition

Student Rep Excellence Award

The Student Rep Excellence Award rewards Student Reps for their hard work throughout the year!

The Student Rep Excellence Scheme provides a guide for the kind of activities & opportunities you should be engaging with during your time as a Rep. It also gives us a nice opportunity to reward you for excelling in your role!

In order to receive official recognition (by certificate) for your time as a Rep, you must complete the Compulsory level of the Excellence Award as a minimum. Once this has been met, you're encouraged to work towards the Bronze, Silver and Gold levels, where corresponding certificates & prizes will also be awarded. Check out the criteria for each level and tick them off using the below doc...

You can download the doc here

Once you've completed as much as you can for your time in post, please email the above to reps@hertssu.com
