Join us for the first Student Council meeting of the academic year – the highest student-led representational body within the Students' Union. This meeting is only open to Herts SU Student Leaders which includes SCOs, Student Reps, Society Committee Members and Student Staff.

During this first meeting, Student Council members will elect their Chair and Deputy Chair, who will lead Council meetings throughout the year. Members will also have the opportunity to meet the newly elected President Education and President Community, hear about their priorities for the year ahead, and learn how they will be representing students.
We are also pleased to welcome colleagues from the University's Harassment and Sexual Abuse Team, who will provide an overview of the support available to students, discuss their work across the University, and answer questions from Student Leaders about the mandatory harassment and sexual misconduct training. .
Attending Student Council is also a great way to develop your leadership, communication, negotiation, and public speaking skills while making a real impact on the student experience at Herts.
