Join us for the FINAL Student Council meeting of the academic year – the highest student-led representational body within the Students' Union. This meeting is only open to Herts SU Student Leaders which includes SCOs, Student Reps, Society Committee Members and Student Staff.
Please do come along in-person to Bar Seventy7 or you can join online here - https://teams.microsoft.com/l/meetup-join/19%3ameeting_YjNhZTk2YjMtYTc5Mi00NDRmLTkwZTMtNTIzOGViNzQxNzNj%40thread.v2/0?context=%7b%22Tid%22%3a%2293e6beba-c4aa-4731-af5d-d735b097eadb%22%2c%22Oid%22%3a%22c30f7ad6-5a54-407e-97d9-376a13f589ba%22%7d
At this meeting, you'll hear updates from the Elected Officers on their ongoing priorities, campaigns, and the work they have been undertaking on behalf of students. You'll also have the opportunity to discuss and debate ideas and proposals submitted by fellow students and Student Leaders, before voting on whether they should become official Students' Union policy.
This is your chance to:
- Hear what your Elected Officers have been working on
- Debate ideas that could improve the student experience
- Vote on proposals and influence SU policy
- Meet and network with Student Leaders from across the University
- Develop skills in communication, critical thinking, and public speaking
Attending Student Council is also a great way to develop your leadership, communication, negotiation, and public speaking skills while making a real impact on the student experience at Herts. If you are a Student Rep or a Society Committee Member, attendance at Student Council counts towards your respective accreditation schemes, so don't miss this opportunity to contribute, learn, and gain recognition for your involvement.
