Join us every two weeks for our regular Socialist Students society meetings. Here we discuss socialist perspectives on current affairs, union action, issues affecting students and get organised for action on campus and beyond.
During the first half of each meeting, we will give a presentation on a specific topic that has been suggested by a member in the past, be it a historical subject, current issue or political theory as well as providing some organisations and charities relating to the topic for members to look into if they wish. This will allow members to learn more about the causes and topics they care about as well as giving other members the chance to expand their political awareness and class consciousness.
During the second half we’ll cover our current campaigns on campus and any upcoming events both on and off campus.
Whether you’re new and just want to learn more or ready to fight for socialist change, these meetings are the best way to get involved in building a socialist student movement at the University of Hertfordshire.
