This seemingly controversial question is currently debated by many policymakers in the United Kingdom. The Green Party Drug Policy proposes that all drugs should be legalised, which has recently stirred much controversy in the media. Their proposal is indeed based on empirical evidence, but the War on Drugs has already convinced many people of the opposite.
