WHAT IS FRESHERS?
Fresher’s Week takes place annually, at the beginning of the new academic year. It is a fun-packed week of events, activities, back-to-back club nights, and opportunities to sign up to clubs, societies, and networks on campus!
Fresher's Fair is an iconic event that takes place nationally across a wide range of Students' Unions every year, offering you exciting ways to get involved on campus, ways that you can access great support during your academic journey, and of-course some great exclusive freebies!
WHAT ARE SOCIETIES AND HOW CAN I JOIN?
Socieites are mini communities made up of students who share similar interests and hobbies. They are a great way to make new friends and keep busy, with events, regualar meet-ups, and socials being hosted by the societies committee members. You will have the opportunity to see the societies we have on offer, meet the committees and the SU societies team, and sign up to be a member yourself across the course of the day.
I'M A RETURNING STUDENT, IS FRESHERS' FAIR STILL FOR ME?
Absolutely! Freshers' Fair is an opportunity for everybody to get involved and refresh their student experience here at Herts at the start of the new academic year! Have a society that you have always wanted to join, or want a chat with your SU about other ways to get involved more? This is your chance!
I'M NOT STUDYING ON COLLEGE LANE, CAN I STILL JOIN?
Of course! Freshers' Fair will run from 11-4, with a free University shuttle bus running between each campus on a regualr basis, allowing time for anybody who fancies popping along to get involved in the fun!
