CELEBRATE NIGERIAN INDEPENDENCE DAY 2023

 

Your Black Students' Officer and Nigeria-Ghana Society are working in collaboration to bring a day of celebration for Nigerian Independence to campus!

 

Join us for a flag raising and march around campus, followed by an afternoon of music, traditional games and tasty food from Chilli Gold. The flag raising will kick start the day and will be held on Hutton Lawn, College Lane at 11AM.

What is Nigerian Independence Day?

Nigerian Independence Day is an official national holiday in Nigeria. It is held annually on the 1st of October, marking Nigeria's Proclamation of Independence from British rule in 1960.

 

Do I need a ticket?

Yes, you will need to register for a free ticket to attend this event.
