The event aims to bring students together in a relaxed, welcoming and social environment to raise awareness of the campaign, encourage participation and create opportunities for students to connect with one another.
The event will begin at Hutton Hall, where students can gather, enjoy face painting and glitter, and meet other participants before setting off on an approximately 30-minute group walk. The walking route will take participants from Hutton Hall towards the LRC and accommodation area, returning via the Forum before finishing back at Hutton Hall.
Following the walk, students will be invited to stay and enjoy a relaxed social session featuring hot chocolate, crisps and craft and colouring activities. This will provide an opportunity for students to unwind, socialise and continue conversations in a friendly and inclusive environment.
Promotion will begin in early October through student WhatsApp groups, drop-in sessions and social media to raise awareness of the event, encourage engagement and maximise participation.
