The Mix Lounge
A weekly chill session for DJ Society members and music lovers. Come hang out, listen to great music, chat about tracks, and learn the basics of DJing on our Pioneer DDJ FLX-4. Members get priority on teaching slots, but everyone’s welcome to vibe, watch, and get involved.
Each week we’ll have a different theme, which will be posted on our Instagram @uhdjsociety, so keep an eye out to see what we’re focusing on next.
What to expect
Alongside our weekly theme, we’ll run different activities throughout the year. These can include things like mini mix challenges, listening sessions, set-building workshops, and track-sharing circles, plus other ideas depending on what the society wants to explore. Suggestions are welcome too.
Whether you’ve never touched decks before or already play sets, The Mix Lounge is a relaxed space to meet new people, share ideas, and grow as a community. Teaching slots are first-come, first-served with priority for members
Room availability can change week to week, so the confirmed room number will always be posted on our Instagram and in the WhatsApp group.
The Mix Lounge was created to give students a space to explore music together and discover new sounds outside of club nights.
If you’re thinking about getting a ticket, consider grabbing a DJ Society membership instead. It’s only a few pounds and gives you access to all of our events, including the big ones.
