FOR ALL YOU SUPERHERO FANATICS, ANIME ENTHUASTS & GAMING FANS... IT'S COMIC CON!

 

Over three spaces, your Students' Union is bringing you Uni of Herts' first Comic Con

 

Head to Union Square to be surrounded by themed market stalls, photo ops for every fandom & refreshments. From local businesses to your societies, stop to get your face painted, learn how to do SFX make-up or purchase your fave comic book!

 

It doesn't stop there, follow the arrows to Seventy7 to be met with the ultimate gaming experience. Challenge your friends on the arcade machines, enter the cosplay competition & sign up for our Comic-oke! 

 

...& for all you Mario Kart lovers who fail to let a banana peel or shell spoil your win, enter our real life Rainbow Road in The Loft! Test out the legendary track brought to life as you battle against your friends (& several obstacles!) to become the ultimate Mario Karter.

 

 

 

What is Comic Con?

Comic Con is an event that celebrates everything 'Geek Culture.' From superheroes to anime, sci-fi to gaming, Comic Con is an event that allows people to come together to socialise & make friendships over similar interests. Filled with gaming, photo ops & products to purchase, Comic Con has a variety of activities that you can get involved in. Comic Con is inclusive of all fandoms including Doctor Who, Harry Potter & Star Wars. 

 

Do I need a ticket?

Nope - tickets are not required for this event. Just drop by! 

 

Can I wear cosplay?

Of course, cosplay is encouraged! If you do dress-up, pop up to Seventy7 to enter our cosplay competition with fantastic prizes up for grabs.

 

How can I enter the cosplay competition?

To enter our cosplay competition, head to one of our Herts SU Hubs (Union Square, Seventy7 or The Loft) & sign up. The competition will be starting in Seventy7 at 3PM so make sure you're there! 

 

Will there be refreshments?

Yes - there will be stalls that you can purchase refreshments from.

Not based on this campus? Not to worry. Did you know we have a shuttle bus that takes you between College Lane Campus & de Havilland Campus - it's completely free!
