Celebrating and Empowering Women and Girls in Science!

 

Women in Science Leadership: A New Era for Sustainability!

 

International Day of Women and Girls in Science is a day to celebrate and empower Women in Science. Join us in LB390 to watch Mission Blue followed Ghostbusters (2016). Mission Blue follows Oceanographer and explorer Sylvia Earle's campaign to save the world's oceans from threats. Ghostbusters follows four eccentric women who start their own ghost-catching business in New York. Feel empowered while enjoying some popcorn!

What else can I do to celebrate Women and Girls in Science?

Every year, a Science Assembly takes place at the United Nations Headquarters. Female Science Leaders and Experts from around the world, including high-level government officials, representatives of international organisations and the private sector, gather to discuss women in leadership with this years focus on Sustainable Development.
