Les (let's) get together and celebrate LGBT+ History Month!
Event Highlights:
🙌 With you in mind: We'll have a variety of stall holders from across Hertfordshire, all supporting the LGBT+ community, ready to chat with you.
🌍 Community Involvement: Celebrate your fellow students, old and new, by grabbing yourself some goodies from their very own market stalls!
🎨 Entertainment: There will be plenty of activities for you to get stuck into, all for free with your student ID.
Support On Campus: They'll educate you on how you can utilise or support their services and the community, and, of course, celebrate the month with you!
Why You Should Attend:
👀 Grab Some Goodies: As always you can support a local business by grabbing some homemade goodies at the many market stalls, and find something good to eat at the food vans nearby.
🎉 Get Involved: If you're new on campus this Semester, then come and grab a taste of campus life in the heart of College Lane.
😊 Relax & Enjoy: Take a break in your busy day to soak up the atmosphere and explore your campus, don your coat, scarf and gloves and see what's in store.
Join us for a day of activities and opportunities in the EleHouse, Union Square and Forum Foyer.
Do I need a ticket to attend?
No - you can just come by and check it out!
What is LGBT+ History Month?
LGBT+ History Month is an annual observance that takes place in February in the United Kingdom. It is a time to celebrate the achievements and contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and others in the community, as well as to raise awareness of the ongoing struggles and discrimination that they face. The month-long celebration is important because it helps to recognise the diversity and history of the LGBT+ community, and it provides an opportunity for people to come together and support one another.
