Key role requirements:

Work in collaboration with the Marketing Team, Elected Officer Team and other managers\departments to deliver a range of events aimed at increasing awareness of the Union and its Services.

Coordinate all Students’ Union event logistics, including the marketing of the events.
-
Provide line management of Student Staff Ambassadors and Promotion Assistants. This includes allocating work fairly, recruitment, training and acknowledgement.

Play a key role in the organisation of our annual Freshers’ and Refreshers’ Week. This includes planning, leading and organising the events.

Work with the Marketing Team to develop and manage an annual series of cultural diversity and equality awareness activities.

Assist in developing a programme of inspirational talks to support student career development.

Working in conjunction with service managers and Elected officers, taking the lead in organising and delivering our annual Students’ Union Awards Evening.

Oversee marketing communications for all events and promotional campaigns, including print, digital and PR.

Provide Marketing Communication support for various SU services, including but not limited to: Societies, Volunteering, Housing, Herts Hall League and Receptions

Support the Marketing department in developing digital content for the Hertfordshire Students’ Union website, emails and other digital communication channels. Ensuring all content is recent, relevant and engaging.

To be responsible for all of Hertfordshire Students’ Union social media platforms.

Manage on campus poster and flyer distribution for the Students’ Union with the help of Student Staff.

Develop and maintain event participation and engagement information for research purposes.

Ensure the prominence of the Students’ Union at University open days and other external events.

Supervise and coordinate any external contractors related to events, ensuring all relevant documentation is receive and permits to work issued where necessary.

To keep abreast of relevant national and local developments, changes in legislation, and best practice and attend conferences, training events and meetings as necessary.
