Who We Are
Garja Maharashtra Society brings together students who are passionate about Maharashtrian culture, traditions, and values. You do not need to be from Maharashtra to join. Curiosity and respect for culture are all you need.
What We Achieved Last Year
Our society had a memorable year filled with impactful and lively events. These included:

• Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti
• Hindu Nav Varsh Celebration
• Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Jayanti
Our biggest highlight last year was the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti celebration.
It was the first time ever that a student-led Dhol Tasha Pathak was performed on campus. The energy, unity, and cultural pride displayed made this event unforgettable. This celebration earned us the Best Event of the Year at the Hertfordshire Students’ Union Awards.
