Welcome folks, to the Digital Animation Society! :D
Animation is a wonderful but challenging career, with many hardworking students wanting to achieve their hopes & dreams. It is an industry with so much diversity, but most of us feel a bit too introverted to talk to each other!
As the courses can get quite stressful, it would be great to have more designated days where we can lay back, have fun, and meet more like-minded folks from the different courses and years!
⭐We would be able to have our own networking events and show off your artwork & animations that you are proud of, encouraging you to get out of your comfort zone and boost your confidence.
⭐Inviting more guest speakers, from the Industry and Herts Alumni.
⭐Our own little art events like a sticker club, art stalls to practice selling merch, and optional workshops.
⭐IRL activities like Gartic Phone sessions, Whiteboards, and snacks!
Of course, the main priority is to successfully learn more and hone your art skills at Uni, and these little meetups should never interfere with this, but help with it! But every hard-working person deserves a bit of a breather too, which is what we hope this society will provide!

How do I join?
If you study a related course, good news – you have automatically been granted a free society membership to this society and you don’t need to do anything else!
Courses currently auto-enrolled are:
- BA (Hons) Digital Animation - 2D, 3D, GA, CC
- MA Animation - 2D, 3D, GA, CC
- BA (Hons) Digital Arts for Animation, Games and Immersion
If relevant, we'd be open to collaborating with other societies to make events come to life as well!
