The Student Rep Excellence Award serves to reward Student Reps for their hard work!
In order to receive official recognition (by certificate) for your time as a Rep, you must complete the Compulsory level of the Excellence Award at a minimum. Once this has been met, you're encouraged to work towards the Bronze, Silver and Gold levels, where corresponding certificates & prizes will also be awarded
Compulsory
Incentive: Student Rep Laptop Sticker & E-Certificate
- • Complete your Student Rep Training
- • Introduce yourself and your role to the students on your programme, Programme Leader and Module Lead
- • Get in touch with your School Community Organisers (SCOs)
Bronze Award
Incentive: Student Rep Pin Badge & E-Certficate
- • Complete the Compulsory level
- • Attend or provide an update at a Programme Committee Meeting (PCM)
- • Nominate someone as a Student Rep or SCO of the Month
- • Complete a Student Feedback Form
Silver Award
Incentive: Student Rep Mug & E-Certificate
- • Complete the Bronze level
- • Attend an academic society event or promote an academic society to your course
- • Attend or promote an SCO event
Gold Award
A free ticket to an SU event, an Endorsement on LinkedIn from the SU & E-Certificate
- • Complete the Silver Award
- • Organise an activity or meeting with other Student Reps/SCOs
- • Join an academic society
- • Take a motion to Student Council
Please note that if any criteria cannot be met in full, you may still be able to achieve said level by evidencing why you feel you should to the Academic Engagement team. Should you need to go down this route, you’ll be required to write a short statement (around 150-200 words) that outlines your reasoning.
