Student Rep Accreditation Scheme
The Student Rep Accreditation Scheme rewards Student Reps for their hard work!
To officially become a Student Representative, you'll need to complete the Student Rep Training first. This is the minimum requirement. Reach out to the team here (reps@hertssu.com) for more information about Student Rep Training dates.
Once you’ve done your training, you’ll be eligible to complete the Student Rep Accreditation Scheme. From there, you’ll be encouraged to work towards the Bronze, Silver and Gold awards - each with its own set of rewards for your achievements as a Rep
Incentives: Standard Student Rep Sticker, Standard Student Rep Badge, Bronze LinkedIn Badge, Rep Email Signature with a Bronze outline
Tasks and Evidence:
- Attend Student Rep Training
- We'll take your attendance after you have completed the quiz and the training
- Introduce yourself and your role to students in your course
- You can send us a screenshot of you introducing yourself in an email, group chat or a CANVAS announcement
- Complete the Student Voice Collector Form
- We'll have access to the form so we'll see once you have completed the form

Tasks and Evidence:
- Attend a Programme Academic Experience Group (previously known as Programme Committee Meetings) and provide feedback
- We'll be able to confirm your attendance. Please share any feedback notes you made ahead of the meeting too.
- Attend a School Student Forum
- We’ll be able to confirm your attendance
- Signpost a student or your cohort to SU services such as the Advice & Support Centre, Societies, or the Elected Officer Team
- Send us a screenshot of the announcement or the message you’ve sent to your course (please do not include any personal details of other students in your screenshot)
- Nominate someone for Student Rep or SCO of the Month
- We'll receive the submissions
Incentives: Automatic Nomination for Student Rep of the Year, Letter of Recommendation from the SU CEO, Exclusive enamel Student Rep Badge, Professional Headshot Opportunity, Gold LinkedIn Badge, Rep Email Signature with a Gold outline
Tasks and Evidence:
- Attend a Student Council meeting
- We’ll be able to confirm your attendance
- Complete your Rep Handover Form
- We’ll be able to check if this has been received or not
- Meet your SCO to raise any feedback you have regarding your course
- We’ll be able to confirm with your SCO whether you attended a meeting with them
- Attend an additional SU training session (this includes webinars hosted by the SU and the Student Leader Conference) or attend an Academic Society Event
- We’ll be able to confirm your attendance

Please note that if any criteria cannot be met in full, you may still be able to achieve said level by evidencing why you feel you should to the Academic Experience Team. Should you need to go down this route, you’ll be required to write a short statement (around 150-200 words) that outlines your reasoning.
