Hello my fellow brilliant students, my name is Rofiat Owoeye and I'm running for the position of Commuting Students' Officer. As a candidate for the position of commuting Student's Officer, I am committed to improving the university experience for all commuting Students. My manifesto focuses on three major issues: enhanced transport services, community participation and academic support. Firstly, I will advocate for improved transport choices to ensure that commuting students have dependable and inexpensive access to campus. This includes campaigning for better bus and train scheduling and establishing partnerships with local transport companies to give student discounts. This is because I feel that reliable transit is critical for lowering stress and ensuring that students arrive on time for lessons and activities.

Second, I recognise the importance of fostering a strong community among commuter students. I will create a specialised online platform where students may connect , share their experiences and support each other. Additionally, I intend to organise frequent social events and gatherings for commuting students which will develop networking and friendship chances. By encouraging a sense of belonging, we may assist counteract the loneliness that frequently comes with commuting.

Finally, I plan to focus on providing academic support that suits the needs of commuter students. This includes providing workshops to address the special issues that commuters encounter have. Also, providing tutorials and summary classes to figure out our understanding on teachings and assignments.
