Black is beyond colour, Black is an attitude, Black is a movement. As a candidate for the position of the Black Student’s officer,  I'm dedicated to creating a welcoming atmosphere that honours our varied culture and tackles the particular difficulties that Black students  experience. My vision, objectives, and commitment to effectively representing our community are outlined in my manifesto.
 1. Advocacy and Representation: I'll work to give Black students a say in all issues pertaining to the university. In addition to making sure that our issues are taken seriously at all administrative levels, this entails supporting laws that encourage diversity and inclusion.
 2. Support and Resources: My goal is to create more awareness for  academic mentorship programs, mental health resources for Black Students.
 3. Cultural Awareness and Engagement: To promote understanding and appreciation among all students, I will plan activities and events that honour Black history and culture. This includes lecture series, cultural festivals, and seminars that showcase the accomplishments and contributions of Black people.
 4. Community Building: I think that communities have a lot of power. I'll establish secure environments where Black students may interact, exchange stories, and encourage one another. We'll plan frequent get-togethers and social activities to improve our relationships and present a unified front.
 5. Cooperation with Other Groups: In order to advance intersectionality and solidarity, I will collaborate extensively with other student organisations. By working together, we can tackle more difficulties that Black student’s experience.
To sum up, I am dedicated to creating an environment at our campus where everyone feels respected and empowered, and I am enthusiastic about representing Black students. We can bring about significant change and improvements in our community if we work together.
