Create your own tie dye t-shirt!

Join our Tie Dye Workshop with totally no experience and leave knowing how to swirl and scrunch your fabric to make fun, colourful tie dye patterns. We'll provide the t-shirts and tie dye, it's up to you what you create with them. You can decide whether to go full-blown rainbow or opt for a more chilled, pastel colour palette. Whichever look you're going for, the School of Creative Arts Society will be on hand to guide you. Once the workshop is over, you'll be able to keep hold of your creations and wear them with pride

Session Times

Session A 15:00 - 15:45
Session B  16:00 - 16:45
Session C  17:00 - 17:45

What experience do I need?

Absolutely none! We'll be able to walk you through the whole process, whether you're a newbie or a total pro already

What will I make?

You’ll be shown how to make your very own tie dyed garment. We'll provide plain t-shirts for you to use but you're welcome to bring your own item (i.e. tote bag) if you'd rather. If you do choose to bring your own item, just ensure it's 100% cotton

Who will be teaching me?

The Students' Union have teamed up with the School of Creative Arts Society to lead this workshop, so you're in capable hands

Do I need to bring anything?

We recommend you wear old clothes (or bring an apron) as dye may be spilt. We'll provide you with gloves, as well as all the bits you'll need to make your tie dye t-shirt

What happens if it rains?

If it's raining on the day, the workshops will be held in Hutton Hall. Hutton Hall is located above the Students' Union office on College Lane
