EXCURSION TO THE CITY OF CAMBRIDGE

THIS EVENT HAS NOW SOLD OUT! KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR OUR FUTURE TRIPS!

Give it a Go is an events programme full of one off activities for you to try while you are a student here at Herts!

Whats included in my ticket?

Your ticket includes your travel directly from The Forum Bus Stops, College Lane, Hatfield AL10 9AB directly to the City Centre destination! You will have hours to explore some of Britain's most iconic cities- with a variety of tourist destinations within a walking distance you can do whatever you take a fancy too. You may want to view the historical landmarks, go shopping, can go get some food, sightseeing… with the chance to meet other students the day is completely what you want to make it!

At the heart of this spectacular destination is Cambridge University, which is split into 31 architecturally stunning colleges. The most famous is Kings College, with its distinctive gothic chapel and illustrious list of former students.

You could spend the day in the bustling market square or punt lazily down the River Cam - either way, Cambridge is a truly idyllic place to explore.

Enjoy a relaxing walk through Cambridge University Botanic Garden, or admire the shining 24-carat gold Grasshopper - the Corpus Clock - on Corpus Christi College's Taylor Library.

Be sure to seek refreshment in one of the town’s many tearooms. Fitzbillies, which has been around since the 1920s, is a Cambridge institution and a cosy spot for a traditional afternoon tea.

Did you know? People like to visit the nearby Cambridgeshire Fens for leisurely canal holidays. Companies such as Fox Narrowboats offer boats for hire on a daily or weekly basis.

Cambridge has one of the most impressive collections of museums in the country. The University of Cambridge can take you on a historical journey via its eight museums – from the sciences, to archaeology, to zoology and polar exploration.

For further information on the wonders Cambridge has to offer, explore the Visit Cambridge website.
