Join the Sexual Wellness webinar with Dr Caroline West to talk all things porn. Do you have to have a giant penis or have sex for hours in order to have good sex? Nope! This workshop looks at some of the most common myths that we might see when watching porn. While many people watch porn, they might not have the skills to process everything they are seeing because they don't get good sex education that covers porn. We will discuss concerns about porn, and equip students with critical thinking skills in relation to porn and real world sex.?This workshop is not anti-porn but helps us to understand what we are seeing on screen.

All workshops are sex positive, inclusive of all genders and sexuality, and you will not be require to share any personal information. Participants can also win sexual wellness products and eco-friendly menstruation items.

Please note, this session will NOT be recorded.

About Dr Caroline West

Caroline is the host of the Glow West podcast, which explores sex, sexuality, and the body. Caroline is also currently a sex and relationship expert for Independent.ie, the Elaine Show on Virgin Media One, and Bumble Ireland.

Caroline completed her PhD in 2020; this research focused on the experiences of women working in the American pornography industry, situated in the context of feminist discourses on pornography. This research explored themes of stigma, violence, and interactions with fans. She has presented her research nationally and internationally, and is a frequent media commentator on sexuality and feminist related topics. She is passionate about creating spaces for calm, informed conversations about sex, and works to reduce shame and stigma around sex in Ireland. In 2018 Caroline was listed as one of Silicone Republics’ ‘Top high flying scientists making the world a better place in 2019’, and in 2020 Irish Country Woman magazine included her in their ‘Wonder Women: Meet the Women shaping 2020’ feature.  Caroline lives in Dublin with her partner and dreams of owning far too many sausage dogs one day.
