OUR ANNUAL PRIDE MARKET IS BACK!
Tag along to meet your LGBTQ+ Students' Officer, LGBT+ Society and LGBTQ+ Student Network alongside a range of university departments and local charities on how they support you.
We'll have a variety of stall holders from across Hertfordshire, all supporting the LGBT+ community, ready to chat with you. They'll educate you on how you can utilise or support their services and the community, and, of course, celebrate the month with you!
Do I need a ticket to attend?
No - you can just swing by and check it out!
What is LGBT+ History Month?
LGBT+ History Month is an annual observance that takes place in February in the United Kingdom. It is a time to celebrate the achievements and contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people, as well as to raise awareness of the ongoing struggles and discrimination that they face. The month-long celebration is important because it helps to recognise the diversity and history of the LGBT+ community, and it provides an opportunity for people to come together and support one another.
What other events are happening this LGBT+ History Month 2024?
We have a range of events happening throughout February to mark LGBT+ History Month. Watch your fave LGBT+ movies at our LGBT+ History Month Movie Night, explore London's greatest queer exhibitions at our Sightseeing Saturdays: LGBT+ History Month Special and meet key support services at Pride Market. Additionally, join us in dancing the night away with our fabulous drag queens at GlitterBomb: Drag Night and get to know fellow LGBT+ students and staff at LGBT+ History Month Students & Staff Social.
