Great news, Rollnsk8 is back!! Our first event will be a free introduction to roller skating open to everyone, from beginners to regular skaters!! The event will be a chance for everyone to get to know each other and enjoy skating, full of good music and good people! It’ll be a chance for everyone to challenge themselves, we’ll challenge you to skate from one end of the court to the other and pair those less confident with those more experienced. We love skating and really hope that you will catch the skating bug too!! We look forward to seeing you there!!
For the event, it will start with everyone coming together in the middle and then I will discuss what’s going to happen next + explain some backstory about my skating life. I want to also do a challenge to see who can make it to the other side without falling down. The people that fall down will be on one side and the people that don’t will be on the other side. One person from each side will pair up and skate together.
Then after that we will learn how to fall down since it’s the first step with skating and keep practicing until you get over the fear.
Then the last part of the event will be a normal jam or speed skate session with an interactive dj who will also have a mic. I will be skating with everyone to see how they get along and stuff.
