Making Charms and Amulets Workshop

Monday 10 March 2025

2pm - 4pm

M133

Made objects and artifacts have been used in healing as a conduit to transfer feelings, energy or emotions, acting almost as a form of sympathetic magic where ritual actors can release, let go, honour or come to terms with that which they need to explore and heal. ‘Ritualising’ is the act of cultivating or inventing rites, and art objects and artifacts can become ritualised in a number of ways.

Join the History and Folklore Society as we explore this fascinating domain of folklore, including the chance to make your own clay model talisman, charm or amulet!

Open to Uni of Herts students and staff with a valid ticket. Please note that tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-exchangeable. View the full Terms & Conditions here
