We wanted to update you on a change to your Elected Officer team for the 2026-27 academic year.
Ravi Teja Muthangi, who was originally elected as President Education for 2026-27, has recently made the decision to step down. He informed us of this decision before formally starting the role. We fully respect Ravi's position and wish him the best of luck for the future.
Following this development, we have returned to the original ballot to elect the next best candidate. By this, we mean the candidate with the highest number of votes (once the votes of the withdrawn winner have been re-distributed). This process is explained in our Bye-Law 4: Elections and Referenda and has been completed by our Deputy Returning Officer.
As a result of this process, we are pleased to announce that Judith Albert has been elected as your new President Education for 2026-27. Judith will be known to many of you already, having been your Part-Time Elected Officer for the School of Creative Arts in 2025-26.
