The Herts Midwifery Society is a supportive, inclusive community for anyone studying midwifery at the University of Hertfordshire. We’re proud to have been voted a “Highly Commended” society, reflecting our commitment to education, connection, and student support 💙
All students enrolled on any Midwifery course at Herts are automatically members of the society — and even if you’re a non-midwifery student, you’re still very welcome to join our events and activities.
✨ 2025 was a good year for us — but let’s make 2026 a great year! ✨ We’ve got exciting events, inspiring speakers, and more opportunities to connect planned for the year ahead.
Join us for four evening online workshops with Hibo from the charity Educate Not Mutilate. These sessions will explore understanding FGM, legal and ethical considerations, identifying FGM, and providing support with cultural awareness.
