About MTS
The Musical Theatre Society (MTS) are a society dedicated to producing great performances. We put on a "concert" style performance in Sem A and a full musical production in Sem B.
As well as performances, we do a variety of other activities including workshops, games, socials and an awards ceremony where we celebrate our members contributions over the course of the year!
So whether your passion is in performing, AV, props and set design, costume design, makeup design, or even just meeting like minded people and creating new friendships and core memories, MTS is the place for you!
We pride ourselves on being an inclusive and diverse society, so ALL current students are welcome to join regardless of sexual orientation, race, gender, disability or learning difficulties.
Rehearsals & Tech production
When? Monday and Wednesday evenings - 6pm-9pm
Where? MONDAYS: The Film Music & Media (FMM) Building in B05 on College Lane Campus. WEDNESDAYS: Hutton Hall next to Union Square on College Lane Campus
What? These sessions are dedicated to working towards each performance and every session is different; we could be rehearsing singing one day, and painting the entire set the next! Whilst the performers get acqainted with choreography and scene blocking, the tech team get to work making fantastic props and beautiful costumes.
