Society Grant Application Form

Societies can apply for money to support their society and events.

The Society Grant is here to financially support societies including everyday runnings, events and campaigns. A Society Committee must complete the form below with as much detail as possible which will then be sent to a panel for a decision. It can take up to two weeks to get a form response from the panel during term-time. The application form will close during University closure periods.

If you do not provide enough information in the form, the panel might decide to send it back to you to complete further, this will make the whole process longer so please be thorough in your application.

Please note, the money is guaranteed and will be down to the panel's decision.

Your grant application has to link to the one of the following areas:

Community - Anything that improves a student group’s sense of community
Development - Anything that could help increase a student group’s memberships
Experience - Anything that will enhance the experience of a student group’s members
Wellbeing - This is anything that might help improve your members' wellbeing
Sustainability - This is anything that can help you make more sustainable/green choices or if you wanted an event that promotes
sustainability/helping the environment.

In order to submit a Society Grant application, it has to be approved by the current Chair and Treasuer of the society who is applying.

I understand and agree that we will recieve an email with the panel's decision within two weeks of submitting the application. If it is during university closure dates, the application will not start being processed until term time resumes If approved, the SU will place the order via the links provided within the application form.
