We're all here to have fun so please respect all staff and fellow attendees in and outside the venue.
Violence, threats, disrespect, harassment, or discrimination will not be tolerated in this venue and will result in a ban, university disciplinary action or notification to the police.
The below clearly outlines what deems a breach of the code of conduct:
- 1. Any dissent, abuse or violence towards our staff will not be tolerated.

- 2. Drink to enjoy not to excess – if you are deemed to be drinking or drunk irresponsibly or to excess you may be denied entry or asked to leave.

- 3. Assault, fighting or threatening behaviour to others.

- 4. Harassment, bullying or discrimination of any nature.

- 5. We have a zero-tolerance approach to drugs, we will confiscate, not allow entry, evict you or detain you for the police.

- 6. Smoking or vaping inside the venue is not permitted.

- 7. Spiking will result in an immediate ban.

- 8. Theft from the venue or other attendees.

- 9. Event attendees accessing staff only areas or inappropriate use of emergency equipment.

- 10. Gaining access without a valid ticket, impersonating another person, use a transferred ticket or gaining re-entry without consent.

- 11. Upon request are not able to produce a valid student or photo ID, all attendees should be able to produce this.

- 12. Use of another person’s student or photo ID.

- 13. Noncompliance to a search as a condition of entry.

- 14. Bringing any prohibited items to the venue. We reserve the right to confiscate any prohibited items. Anyone found in possession of such items will be refused admission, ejected from the venue, and may also be liable for prosecution.

- 15. No refunds will be given to customers who are refused admission due to possession of prohibited items.

- 16. The throwing of objects will not be tolerated.

- 17. Vandalism in the venue will not be tolerated, we wish to keep our venue great for many years. If caught this will result in a ban and potential disciplinary action.

- 18. Regular and numerous minor breaches may also result in a breach of the code.

There is a no re-entry policy in this venue, once you have left you cannot return Any of the actions undertaken in the Forum nightclub areas are subject to the Hertfordshire Students' Union and University of Hertfordshire Student Codes of Conduct and can result in expulsion from the University.

Bans determined by the University of Hertfordshire's Dean of Students Office will be in line with their recommended timescale and will not be overturned by the The Forum Hertfordshire.
If the University of Hertfordshire do lift any ban on an individual, The Forum Hertfordshire holds the right to continue the banning of an individual based on risk to their licensing obligations.
Appeal & Ban Reductions
Bans are issued to ensure the Forum Hertfordshire can uphold its licensing objectives and safeguard the other attendees of The Forum Hertfordshire's events.
The venue is private property and a ban can be issued to any individual. Therefore, banning appeals are not accepted unless you believe the ban to be unlawful or discriminatory. Should this be the case and evidence can be provided please email contact@hertssu.com.
Contact can be made by any individual to present evidence to reduce their ban, these will be reviewed and considered, but The Forum Hertfordshire retain the right to reject any application.
