Elected Officers

Our most senior student leaders, here to represent you across all areas of student life!

The Elected Officers are here to ensure the student voice is heard at all levels. They are all current or former students who were elected into their roles in our annual Elections. Your Elected Officers are Trustees of the Students’ Union and work either full-time or part-time alongside our team of staff. With the goal of improving the student experience here at Herts, they implement new ideas and campaign for change according to student feedback.

Full-Time Officer

Jubair (He/Him)

President

 

The President leads the Elected Officer team, sitting on several Uni of Herts committees to ensure the student voice is heard at the highest level.

 

Jubair is studying BEng (Hons) Aerospace Engineering in the School of Physics, Engineering & Computer Science. He has just completed his studies and is now fulfiling the full-time role of President.

Part-Time Officers

Ritvik (He/Him)

Business Students' Officer

 

This role has been designed to ensure the Business School has representation in our Elected Officer team. While their main focus is the academic experience at Herts, they are also able to work on any other student issues that arise through the year.

 

Ritvik is studying MSc Strategic Marketing in the Business School. He's a Part-Time Officer, so he's working with us to represent you alongside his studies.

Judith (She/Her)

Creative Arts Students' Officer

 

This role has been designed to ensure the School of Creative Arts has representation in our Elected Officer team. While their main focus is the academic experience at Herts, they are also able to work on any other student issues that arise through the year.

 

Judith is studying MArch Architecture and Urbanism in the School of Creative Arts. She is a Part-Time Officer, so she's working with us to represent you alongside her studies.

Lorena (She/Her)

Disabled Students' Officer

 

The Disabled Students' Officer is the lead representative for disabled students here at Herts and works with us to ensure disabled students have the support they need.

 

Lorena is studying BSc (Hons) Psychology at School of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences. She's a Part-Time Officer, so she's working with us to represent you alongside her studies.

Health, Medicine & Life Sciences Students' Officer

Mariangel is studying BSc(Hons) Physiotherapy in the School of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences. She is a Part-Time Officer, so she's working with us to represent you alongside her studies.

Race Equity Students' Officer

 

The Race Equity Students' Officer is the lead representative for Black and Mixed-Ethnicity students here at Herts and works with us to organise cultural events.

 

Hassan is studying BSc (Hons) Psychology in the School of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences. He is a Part-Time Officer, so he's working with us to represent you alongside his studies.
