Insight Outreach Assistant

Love chatting to people and being involved on campus? As an Insight Outreach Assistant, you'll speak with students, collect feedback and help promote SU projects and campaigns. It's a flexible, sociable role that's perfect if you're friendly, proactive and keen to make a real impact on the student experience.

Advice Assistant
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about engaging with and supporting students. Advice Assistants play a key role in supporting the Herts SU Advice Teams; through engaging with students, triaging student queries, providing frontline advice, and conducting outreach activities to enhance student engagement and awareness of the service. The successful candidate will be proactive, approachable, and enthusiastic about making a difference in the student experience.

Digital Content Creator

We're looking for a couple of Digital Content Creators that can help us to bring our content needs to life. We need students that have their finger on the pulse when it comes to social media, enabling us to keep up with trends and boost engagement. You must be experienced in photography and/or videography, with strong shooting and editing skills. A varied role that gives you unique access to lots of events and helps build your portfolio for life after Herts!

Assistant Graphic Designer

We're looking for a student that has a passion for design and a real eye for detail. You'll need to be experienced in the graphic design world, with strong skills and confidence in using Adobe software. Once you've learnt the ins and outs of our bold brand, you'll get to help us create assets for our website, animations for social media printed collateral for things like Freshers and the Elehouse!. An exciting team to be part of and a perfect portfolio-building opportunity!

Community Event Assistant

As an Event Assistant, you will have the most varied role on campus – one day you might be supporting an academic society arrange a study group, while the next you might be hosting Karaoke in the EleHouse! We’re a fun team that always strives to deliver the best experience for students and this is your chance to be a part of it!

The application process consists of two parts: An application form and video submission.

1. Your video should be no longer than 2 minutes.

2. Ensure your video file is named using your full name as it appears on your application form. Example Jane Doe.mp4

Societies Assistant

This role involves a flexible schedule, including daytime and evening hours throughout the week. You may occasionally be required tow ork late nights or weekends to support society events. The position may also involve some manual handling duties during events, and candidates should be comfortable with this aspect of the role, as training will also be provided.

Academic Experience Assistant

Academic Experience Assistant provides essential administrative and operational support to the Academic Experience Team, helping to coordinate Student Reps, manage inboxes, and maintain key systems. They also assist with outreach activities, induction talks, and events that help promote SU services and improve the overall academic experience.
