The results are in...

Elections 2023 - The Results Are In!

5,129 students submitted a grand total of 21,337 votes!

 

Our elections are always one of the most vibrant and exciting times of year as students get the chance to shape the future here at Herts. This year was no different!

 

Our new look Elected Officer model meant that more students from even more pockets of the uni could run. In turn, we have ended up with a really diverse Elected Officer team for the 2023-24 academic year. We had more than 100 students put themselves forwards for a role and ultimately ended up with just shy of 60 candidates. They campaigned tirelessly which resulted in a huge voter turnout. Special shoutout to all the candidates who showed courage, skill & resilience in abdunance, making it a really competitive process

 

 The elections concluded on Friday 31st March with a buzzing Results Night held in The Loft. We're pleased to reveal that the following students were successfully elected into the roles they ran for and will therefore make up your new Elected Officer team...

International Students' Officer = Padmavathi Valluri

LGBTQ+ Students' Officer = Chinmay Vyas

Mature Students' Officer = Chizi Ezechukwu

Placement Students' Officer = Moyinoluwa Ifeoluwa Olaiya

Women Students' Officer = Divya Maheshwaram
