Managing money can be challenging, and situations involving debt or financial hardship can be incredibly difficult. We’re on hand to offer guidance surrounding your financial wellbeing - so that you don't have to deal with these challenges alone.

Please do not ignore unmanageable debt, the problem will not just go away. It is never to late to seek advice. Sometimes people may feel embarrassed about talking about money or debt, but the Advice & Support team are completely non-judgemental and are happy to help and answer any of your questions.

Advice & Support is a referring agent for the Trussell Trust Food Banks nationwide; for which any students experiencing financial hardship can access emergency food supplies. If you wish to know more about how to receive an e-voucher code to receive emergency food supplies from a local food bank, simply get in touch with us or request an appointment. We also offer face-to-face budgeting and money management advice.
For more information about the University Financial Assistance Fund (UFAF) or the Overseas Student Financial Hardhsip Fund (OSHF), and guidance about how to apply or any other financial support available, you can contact the UH Student Funding and Financial Support Team. The team can also provide advice and guidance regarding any matters relating to student finance applications. You can e-mail this team via funding@herts.ac.uk, or complete their online appointment request form.
For any advice and information relating to the payment of your tuition fees, you can contact the UH Student Account Management Team via student-finance@herts.ac.uk. If you are concerned about your ability to pay your tuition fees by the specified liability dates, it is important that you let this team know as soon as you can. Estranged students are eligible for additional support from the University. The Herts Success Team can act as a central point of contact in the University and can liaise with other University departments on your behalf; supporting applications for the University Financial Assistance Fund and providing relevant advice and guidance.
